After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California, Cheryl returned to her hometown where she continued the work of her father, who was an aircraft mechanic at the Corpus Christi Army Depot. As an engineer, Cheryl was involved with several Army helicopter repairs while in Corpus Christi before she voluntarily deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan, as an Associate Liaison Engineer in 2013. During her four-month tour in Afghanistan, Cheryl authorized more than 300 non-standard repairs on U.S. Army Helicopters.
Thereafter, Cheryl moved to San Antonio to pursue her second passion, law. After earning her Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law, Cheryl joined Mazurek, Belden & Burke, P.C. in 2018. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling to see friends, reading, and creating craft projects.
